The Planet Earth.

We live on the planet Earth. Its informal name's the Blue Planet. Our planet is in the solar system. (20)
There are seven continents and three oceans on the Earth. The largest continent is Asia and the Pacific is the largest ocean. The smallest continent is Australia and the smallest ocean is the Indian Ocean. (54)
About 7 billion people live on our planet. The most people live in Asia while there aren't any permanent inhabitants in the Antarctic. (76)
All Earth's inhabitants should take care of it! (84)
TEMAT 1.

Planeta Ziemia.

  Mieszkamy na planecie Ziemia. Jej nieformalną nazwa to Błękitna Planeta. Nasza planeta jest w systemie słonecznym.
  Na Ziemi jest siedem kontynentów i trzy oceany. Największym kontynentem jest Azja, a Pacyfik jest największym oceanem. Najmniejszym kontynentem jest Australia, a najmniejszym oceanem jest Ocean Indyjski.
   Na naszej planecie mieszka około 7 miliardów ludzi. Najwięcej ludzi mieszka w Azji, podczas gdy nie ma żadnych stałych mieszkańców na Antarktydzie.
    Wszyscy mieszkańcy Ziemi powinni o nią dbać!

Our souvenirs from holiday.

I often go on holiday with my family and we usually buy souvenirs. (13)
We spend our holiday in Poland or abroad. We like to buy small souvenirs from lots of interesting and beautiful places. (33)
My favourite souvenirs are key rings, so I buy them almost everywhere. My dad also likes to buy key rings, but he buys beer mugs or bottle openers, too. My mum buys small handicraft or beach towels. My little sister Diana usually wants mugs, pens or badges. (79)

Nasze pamiątki z wakacji.

   Często jeżdżę na wakacje z moją rodziną i zazwyczaj kupujemy pamiątki.
   Spędzamy nasze wakacje w Polsce lub za granicą. Lubimy kupować drobne pamiątki z wielu interesujących i pięknych miejsc.
   Moje ulubione pamiątki to breloczki do kluczy, więc kupuję je prawie wszędzie. Mój tata również lubi kupować breloczki, ale kupuje też kufle do piwa lub otwieracze do butelek. Moja mama kupuje drobne wyroby rękodzielnicze albo ręczniki plażowe. Moja siostrzyczka Diana zwykle chce kubki, długopisy lub plakietki.
    Nasze pamiątki są fajne!

The Saint-Cross National Park.

The Saint-Cross National Park is in the Saint-Cross Mountains, which are the oldest mountains in Europe. It's one of the most beautiful and interesting Polish national parks. (28)
The Saint-Cross Park is most famous for green fir forests and vast stone runs, which cover slopes of many mountains. The vastest stone run is at Bold Mountain. There's also famous Saint-Cross Abbey there. (63)
A beautiful big white deer with a gold cross between antlers is a symbol of the Saint-Cross National Park. (80)

Świętokrzyski Park Narodowy.

   Świętokrzyski Park Narodowy jest w Górach Świętokrzyskich, które najstarszymi górami w Europie. Jest on jednym z najpiękniejszych i najbardziej interesujących polskich parków narodowych.
   Świętokrzyski Park Narodowy najbardziej słynie z zielonych lasów jodłowych i rozległych gołoborzy. Najrozleglejsze gołoborze jest na Łysej Górze. Znajduje się tu także słynne Opactwo Świętokrzyskie.
   Piękny, duży, biały jeleń ze złotym krzyżem między rogami jest symbolem Świętokrzyskiego Parku Narodowego.

Transport.

There are various means of transport. (6)
Children most often ride bikes. Teenagers ride bikes too, but they more often ride motorbikes or scooters. Adults most often drive cars. All people use minibuses, buses, trams, coaches, trains or taxis. People in some of the largest cities can use a metro. (48)

There are also other means of transport e.g. boats, motorboats, yachts, ships and ferries. People use them at seas, lakes and rivers. Planes and helicopters are air means of transport. They become more and more popular. (83)

Transport.

   Są różne środki transportu.
   Dzieci najczęściej jeżdżą na rowerach. Nastolatkowie też jeżdżą rowerami, ale oni częściej jeżdżą motorowerami lub skuterami. Dorośli najczęściej jeżdżą samochodami. Wszyscy ludzie korzystają z mikrobusów, autobusów, tramwajów, autokarów, pociągów lub taksówek. Ludzie w niektórych największych miastach mogą korzystać z metra.
   Są także inne środki transportu, np. łódki, motorówki, jachty, statki i promy. Ludzie korzystają z nich na morzach, jeziorach i rzekach. Samoloty i helikoptery są powietrznymi środkami transportu. Stają się one coraz bardziej popularne.

London is the capital of England. I’m writing about it because I like it. (14) London has a lot of famous buildings, e.g. Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and Big Ben. The other attractions are, e.g. the London’s Eye, beautiful parks and squares. (39) London is also a cultural and business centre. There are lots of museums here, e.g. the National Gallery and Madame Tussaud’s, banks, shops and office blocks. (65) London’s great! Tradition and modernity merge in this city at every turn. I enjoy it! (80)

Londyn jest stolicą Anglii. Piszę o nim, bo go lubię. Londyn ma dużo słynnych budowli, np. Pałac Buckingham, Tower Bridge i Big Ben. Innymi atrakcjami są, np. London’s Eye, piękne parki i place. Londyn jest też centrum kulturalnym i biznesowym. Znajduje się tu dużo muzeów, np. Galeria Narodowa i Muzeum Figur Woskowych Pani Tussaud, banków, sklepów i biurowców. Londyn jest wspaniały. Tradycja i nowoczesność łączą się w tym mieście na każdym kroku. Podoba mi się!

(long informal version)

London is the capital city of the United Kingdom. I’m writing about London because it really fascinates me. (18) There are lots of famous buildings in London, e.g. Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Big Ben and Wembley Stadium. The other London’s attractions are, e.g. the London’s Eye, numerous monuments, beautiful parks, streets and squares. (53) London is also a huge cultural and business centre. There are a lot of famous museums here, e.g. the National Gallery and Madame Tussaud’s, banks, huge malls, shops and office blocks. One can often see famous people, e.g. actors, singers, footballers and even the Queen! There’s heavy traffic in London and red double-decker buses are very characteristic. (108) London is truly great! It merges tradition and modernity. I enjoy this city ! (120)

Londyn jest stolicą Zjednoczonego Królestwa. Piszę o Londynie, bo on mnie naprawdę fascynuje. W Londynie jest dużo słynnych budowli, np. Pałac Buckingham, Opactwo Westminster, Tower Bridge, Big Ben i Stadion Wembley. Innymi atrakcjami Londynu są np. Oko Londynu, liczne pomniki, piękne parki, ulice i place. Londyn jest też ogromnym centrum kulturalnym i biznesowym. Znajduje się tu dużo słynnych muzeów, np. Galeria Narodowa i Muzeum Figur Woskowych Madame Tussaud’s, banki, ogromne centra handlowe, sklepy i biurowce. Można często zobaczyć sławnych ludzi, np. aktorów, piosenkarzy, piłkarzy, a nawet Królową! W Londynie jest duży ruch, a czerwone piętrowe autobusy są bardzo charakterystyczne. Londyn jest naprawdę wspaniały! Łączy w sobie tradycję i nowoczesność. Podoba mi się to miasto!
